Charles County meeting

Neal Dwyer, Professor of English at the College of Southern Maryland, will be the guest speaker at the Maryland Writers Association Charles County Chapter’s monthly meeting 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 17 on  College of Southern Maryland La Plata Campus, BI Building, Room 214. Neal will discuss his extensive work in with writers in Northern Ireland, focusing on storytelling and reconciliation, particularly the role stories play in peace building, and trauma recovery. He will also hold a writing workshop with our members.

Lower Eastern Shore

The LES Chapter meets 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14 at Salt Water Media in Berlin. All are welcome. The group will be discussing the upcoming spoken word event and making a grant to support the planed Salisbury University writers conference.
